Coachella’s second day on Saturday, April 12, brought an exciting mix of music, surprise guests and unforgettable moments that showed just how diverse the festival has become. The 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival spanned over two weekends, April 11–13 and April 18–20, in Indio, California.
One of the biggest highlights of day two was Charli XCX, who turned the main stage into what fans are now calling “Bratchella.” Her high-energy set was packed with songs from her album Brat, and also featured surprise appearances from Troye Sivan, Billie Eilish and Lorde. The crowd went wild when Charli XCX and Lorde performed “Girl, So Confusing,” and fans loved it when she officially declared it as “Lorde Summer 2025.”
Earlier in the day, T-Pain gave a fun and nostalgic performance full of hits like “Buy U a Drank” and “I’m N Luv (Wit a Stripper).” He even threw in a cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” and mixed in Travis Scott’s “FE!N” for good measure.
Green Day brought the energy with a powerful, eye-catching set, opening with “American Idiot” and changing some lyrics to reflect today’s political climate. The crowd, full of both longtime fans and younger festival goers, sang along to every word.
Travis Scott followed later that night with one of the most theatrical performances of the weekend. He used a raised circular stage, brought out marching bands and previewed songs on his new album. During “Stargazing,” dancers floated through the air, and Scott even rappelled down the stage. The whole set felt like a mini movie.
Coachella also made room for classical music, with conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic putting on a sunset performance that mixed pieces by Wagner and Vivaldi with appearances from artists like Zedd, Becky G and LL Cool J. Although extremely different from most artists, it provided a safe environment for different people in the audience.
Other standout moments included K-pop group Enhypen’s Coachella debut, where they wowed fans with dramatic visuals and choreography, and The Misfits closing the Outdoor Stage with old-school punk vibes. Even Sen. Bernie Sanders made a surprise appearance to introduce Clairo and praise her activism.
Coachella had something for everyone, from pop and punk to classical and hip-hop proving that it is still one of the most exciting music festivals in the world.
