Whether it be platonic or romantic, attraction is a normal occurrence. But how about feeling attraction towards a fictional character composed of pixels on a screen? These unconventional attractions are what “hear me outs” are for. This phrase is typically said right before the name of a taboo attraction, and while “hear me outs” are not limited to a certain media, Disney characters will be the focus of this tier list.
5. Colette (Ratatouille)Last on this list is our favorite girlboss, Colette Tatou. Her assertive and opinionated personality, along with her beautiful cornflower blue eyes, makes her an immensely attractive and tough character. For example, when Colette teaches Linguini how to cook, she is harsh and strict, demonstrating her skill and authority. Her diligence makes her a memorable character. While she also takes every opportunity to make satirical remarks when he messes up, Colette stays determined to make Linguini a better chef. When she finds out that Linguini was actually working with a rat, Remy, to help him cook, she storms out of the restaurant. Nevertheless, she comes back because she is passionate about cooking and truly believes that anyone can cook. Overall, these qualities make Colette a perfect character to start off this list.
4. Disgust (Inside Out)
Ironically, Disgust has nothing disgusting about her. From her long lashes to her cute dress, Disgust is an iconically stunning Disney character with sarcasm, honesty and a unique personality. One of her best-known qualities is being very opinionated. Disgust uses her opinions to help Riley in different situations. From fashion to social life, she cares a lot about helping Riley fit in. For example, she helps Riley pick out fashionable outfits and does her best to ensure Riley avoids embarrassing experiences. Disgust works hard to express her thoughts, showing that although she can be judgemental and sarcastic, it stems from her thoughtfulness.
3. Li Shang (Mulan)
Unlike the other characters on this list, Li Shang is not one bit satirical. On the contrary, he is quite serious and takes great pride in his responsibilities. Shang is extremely hardworking and is eager to put the work in to get things done. His care for his work is only matched by the care he shows the people he deems worthy. One thing is for sure: Shang will treat you right. He has great respect for those who have earned his trust, as shown by his willingness to spare Mulan’s life when finding out that she lied about being a man. So, while he might lack the strong personality of the other characters on this list, Shang makes up for it by being a genuinely good person.
2. Mother Gothel (Tangled)
Sass. Just so much sass. Mother Gothel is an entertaining villain because of her complete self-obsession. In order to preserve her youth, she kidnapped Rapunzel and locked her up in a tower. She then raised Rapunzel to believe that her “mother” is the only good person in this world and that anything outside the tower is dangerous. Yes, this does make her sound like a horrible person, but she makes up for it with her one redeemable quality: her voice. She has a way to smooth-talk even the roughest of criminals into doing her bidding. Her singing is also top-notch and the sheer amount of gaslighting in “Mother Knows Best” showcases her personality and makes for an entertaining listen. Yes, Mother Gothel is far from the best candidate for a wholesome, healthy relationship. But, she embraces her manipulation and you have to respect her for that.
1. Nick Wilde (Zootopia)
He is a fox. Wearing a suit. It is impossible not to call that attractive. Aside from that, Nick Wilde is more than just his looks. His charismatic, smug personality is another reason why he is at the top of this list. For example, he is able to sell the red colored popsicle sticks he got from selling popsicles earlier, claiming that they are redwood. He also regularly commits tax fraud, so all the money he earns from his hassles goes directly to him. In all, Nick is rich, and we love our men rich. Additionally, Nick is kind, which is shown through how he cares for Judy. He stays loyal to his favorite bunny and puts his life on the line to help her. Even in the latter half of the movie, where Judy unintentionally sparks widespread hatred towards predators, Nick eventually forgives her and assists her in the case that they started. For being the most supportive, sarcastic and overall goofy fox in the Disney franchise, Nick Wilde is hands down the ultimate Disney “hear me out.”
