The Renaissance World Tour is among the best-selling world tours of the famous American singer-songwriter Beyonce. The tour started on May 10, 2023, and ended on Oct. 1, 2023. The star started her first show in the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. She performed 34 songs in each show, including some of her most famous hits, “Crazy In Love” and “Run The World (Girls).” This tour made around $2.5 Billion and is one of the biggest and highest-paying tours led by a female artist.

At only 41 years old, Beyonce inspires and amazes the world with her incredible vocals, performances and sparkly outfits. An article from The Esquire described the tour as a work of art and even a pseudo-communion. At the concert, many fans dressed up to make a tribute to Beyonce’s iconic old outfits from music videos and album covers. Attending this concert was like getting lost inside a disco ball because the fashion and stage prompts are so sparkly. Beyonce, occasionally referred to as “Queen B,” is well known for her jaw-dropping wardrobe. With nine costume changes in each concert, each outfit was more stunning and shocking than the last.

“The performance was unique.” FHS freshman Ron Shpigel said.  “There were a bunch of big stage visuals and sets; there was a huge horse and a giant mirror ball flying around. The one I liked the most was the robots that were with Beyoncé and were ‘performing’ with her.”

At concerts, people often seek a sense of safety, enjoyment, and inclusivity both from the performers and the audience. At the concert,  the fans can expect all of the above. Beyonce works hard to make the environment safe and inclusive for everyone.

“Everyone there was nice.” FHS freshman and concert attendee Tamar Lesniak said. “That is the first thing. I feel like it was mainly the people that were there that made you feel like you were safe.”

Beyonce paid tribute to many icons during her concerts, like Tina Turner, Madonna and more. At every show, she performs the song “River Deep, Mountain High” by Tina Turner, who unfortunately died on May 24, 2023. Tina was an incredible singer in the 1980s and aided Beyonce through her journey of being a well-known singer. During Beyonce’s hit “Break My Soul,” which interpolates with the song “Vogue” by Madonna, she tributes to Madonna while changing the lyrics to Vogue’s iconic bridge and replacing the white icons with black icons names instead, shouting out legendary stars like Aretha Franklin and Diana Ross.

Overall, Beyonce delivered one of the best shows in the entertainment industry. For her fans, it was a night to remember and to treasure for many years. She proved that she is still as relevant today as she was two decades ago.
