Pinocchio is an Italian fairy tale that tells the story of a puppet named Pinocchio, created by Geppetto, a poor woodcarver, who dreams of becoming a real boy. In this fairy tale, the author, Carlo Collodi, narrates the adventures of Pinocchio, his nose that grows when he tells a lie, and the moral values he learns about.
“Pinocchio teaches us that growing up isn’t about becoming perfect.” FHS freshman Avi Malhotra said. “It’s about learning from your mistakes, telling the truth even when it’s hard, and choosing to be better each time you fall.”
Pinocchio was later adapted into a movie by Disney, and became a widespread tale, teaching children and readers to be weary of telling lies and deception.
