When a team does well, the whole school gets noticed, more people start applying, students feel more pride and alumni get involved again. It can even help bring in more money through donations and support for the school. The money that schools earn from March Madness go back to the teams, and students get paid from sponsorships that boost their careers further, for getting better, and learning how to play basketball professionally.

         However, a lot of pressure can be put on the players and coaches because of the high amount of viewership that the tournament experiences and the heavy expectation for them to succeed.
