“Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” released on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, is a limited series on Netflix. It has a total of 10 episodes and each episode is about an hour long.

The horror-filled documentary “The Story Of Jeffrey Dahmer” depicts the life of American serial killer Jeffery Dahmer, recounting how his experiences influenced him to become America’s terrorizing Milwaukee Cannibal, also known as the Milwaukee Monster. Many of the clips in the documentary are from interviews that were conducted to gain evidence after he was imprisoned. The show further narrates how his obsession started. Apparently, his father found a dead possum under the house, and this soon spiraled to Jeffrey and his dad driving around roads to find roadkill and taking it back to their shed to dissect the dead animal. After Jeffrey’s first kill, without knowing what Jeffrey had done, his father sent him off to Ohio State, where Jeffrey later flunked. He ended up joining the army, and bided his time stealing soporific drugs. He would later use said drugs on each of his victims after luring them into his house.

So, who was Jeffrey Dahmer, the Milwaukee Cannibal? He was a cannibalistic American serial killer and rapist who was sentenced to 15 consecutive life sentences for the murder of 15 men and boys. Jeffrey Dahmer was born on May 21, 1960, and died on November 28, 1994. He would usually find a way to lure his victims into a house or a hotel, then drug them with some sedatives. After his victims would pass out, Dahmer would strangle them until they died, proceeding to dismember their bodies. His killings started in 1978 and ended in 1991, when he was caught by two police officers. Jeffrey Dahmer was eventually killed by Cristopher Scarver in the Columbia Correctional Institution, Portage, Wis.

Some of the characters in the documentary are his mother, Joyce Dahmer (Penelope Ann Miller), his father, Lionel Dahmer (Richard Jenkins), his father’s girlfriend, Shari Dahmer (Molly Ringwald) and his grandmother Catherine Dahmer (Michael Leanard). Lionel Dahmer was born on July 29, 1936. He had 2 kids, Jeffrey Dahmer and David Dahmer. He was married twice to Joyce Dahmer and Shari Jordan. Lionel Dahmer wrote two books, the first one called “A Father’s Story,” the second one is called “A Father’s Story a Pbp.” Lionel had a big impact in Jeffrey’s life, with him introducing Jeffrey to the dissecting of roadkill. Joyce Dahmer was born on Feb. 7, 1963. She died on Nov. 27, 2000, from breast cancer. Both parents impacted Jeffrey’s life with their non-stop fighting.

Overall, the show is creepy, and it is strange and somewhat disturbing to see how a seemingly random set of events can drastically change a normal person’s life, and lead them to make terrible choices.
